Ichiro

Ichiro is pretty new in the M.L.B. but not to baseball. Before he played for the Mariners he played baseball in  Japan. He started in the M.L.B. in the year 2001. His first in the majors Ichiro had 692 at bats, 242 hits and a batting average of .350. Though he bats first he also has a lot of power.

Sammy Sosa

Sammy Sosa is a great slugger. He is always in the race for most homeruns in a season. But Sammy sometimes does bad. He isn't very constant at the plate. Sammy played for the Rangers, White Sox, and plays for the Cubs. Although Sammy was accused of corking his bat he is a very nice guy off the field. 

Andruw Jones 

Andruw Jones is a great ballplayer. He wears the number 25 and plays centerfield for the Braves. Andruws first season was when he was 19 years old. That year the Braves went to the world series. Andruw won a gold glove award in 2001. What makes Andruw Jones a great outfielder is how fast he is. He always tracks the ball down so he doesn't have to dive.  

Sean Casey

Sean Casey plays first base for the Reds. Sean is a great fielder. He also is a powerful slugger. His first season was in 1998. He grew up in Upper St. Clair. He is a very nice man off the field. One year he visited St. Luis. He gave autographs and took pictures. This first baseman has a great future ahead of him.

Jack Wilson

Jack Wilson is one of baseballs under looked players. He plays shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates. This year he was a contender for the most hits this season. Jacks first season was in 2001. He had a batting average of .223. Jack is also great defensively. He gets to the ball with such ease for a double play or just a single. Jack Wilson still has more to prove to the world of baseball.   

Chipper Jones

Chipper Jones is my favorite baseball player. He plays third base and left field for the Braves. He wears the number 10. As a child he batted right handed but his dad taught him to bat switch. He bats more lefty than righty. His first season he batted .667. He had three at bats and two hits. This young player has a lot to offer the Braves.
