Serves-  A serve starts the game. The Most recognizable serve in the game is the over hand serve. This is when the the player uses the their left arm to hold the ball ( if right handed) raise the ball in the air with your left hand and hit it with your right hand.

Another serve is the underhand serve. This is the most basic serve. To serve is hold the ball in one hand and at the same time step forward with the opposite foot and hit the ball with your under hand.

A very popular serve is the Jump serve. This is when you have the ball is both hands throw is up about five feet your head and a bout a foot away from you. Use the same steps to spike the ball and then jump while doing that. 

Dig- A dig is when you receive the ball from the opposing team in an attack. Get under the ball and let your forearms hit it gently.

Setting- To set the ball raise the ball over your head by putting your hands over your head and extending your arms.

Spiking- This move is one of the most powerful skills in volleyball. To spike someone usually set the ball up and the spikier approaches the ball. Start at the 10ft. line and whack the ball as hard as you can to get the ball on the other side's court.

Block- To block jump up to the net and put your forearms up to block the other teams ball.

Positions- The game of volleyball consists of 6 positions. The server  is the the back row and in position 1. The setter is in the from row and the position 2. positions 3 and 4 are in the front  row. Positions 5 and 6 are in the back row. '

Rotation- When your team gets a ball from your opposing team the player rotate in a clockwise positions.
