Chiefs Tight End Tony Gonzalez

Tight ends have to be the most unpredictable players in the game. They can block or get open down the middle. They can also release which is when they act like they are blocking but they then release into a pass route. Tony Gonzalez led the NFL in catches this year. Antonio Gates led all NFL tight ends in touchdowns. Tight ends are a good safety valve too.

 Steelers Running Back Duce Staley

Running backs are the most useful players in the game. If you can establish the running game you can do anything on offense. After the running game is established you can run a play-action pass. That is a pass where the quarterback fakes a handoff to the back and he goes to pass it. Peyton Manning and Edgerrin James are the best at this fake. The back can also go out for screen pass. LaDainian Tomlinson is the best receiving back in the game today.

 Bills Wide Receiver Lee Evans

Wide Receivers are the reason the passing game can be effective. Jerry Rice is the best receiver of all time. Tim Brown isn't far behind. Tough receivers like Keyshawn Johnson usually run the routes across the middle with linebackers covering them. Flashy receivers like Terrell Owens usually run the deep routes with cornerbacks and safeties covering them. They can also run reverses. Wide receivers are good things to have.

 Chiefs Quarterback Trent Green

Quarterbacks are the leaders on the football field. They pick the play and they have to  be sharp to be able to find weaknesses in the defense. They also need to be mobile. If the defense blitzes and the QB is slow, he will be sacked. Michael Vick is such a rushing threat that defenses don't like to blitz. Peyton Manning isn't very mobile but he'll pick up a blitz by handing the ball off. The quarterback must be smart and mobile.
