Super Bowl I between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs

Football is an American tradition that goes back to the mid to late 1800's. From Rutgers to the Dallas Cowboys, football has progressed to become the most popular sport in the U.S.

The Green Bay Packers were the first team in the NFL. The Bears followed then the Browns. The Steelers came around in 1933. From Vince Lombardi to Chuck Noll coaches can make a difference but the players are what makes a team. Walter Payton was the greatest Running Back in history and he has a Super Bowl ring. Barry Sanders on the other hand gained at least 1,000 yards in every single season but no Super Bowl. There is no I in team!

There are many positions in this great game. From Nose tackle to Quarterback they all have their own special jobs. Linemen pave the way for Running Backs and they protect the Quarterback. Defensive Linemen are supposed to put the Quarterback in harms way. Quarterbacks are responsible for directing touchdown drives. Running Backs are responsible for gaining yards and moving the clock. A wide Receiver should catch passes, make big plays, and run correct routes. Tight Ends can block or catch passes. Many different jobs for a team that runs like clockwork!
