BIOGRAPHY |
|
Shania Twain was born as Eileen Edwards in Canada on August 28, 1965. Twain is the second oldest of five children. Her stepfather, Jerry Twain, and her mom, Sharon, had been raised in Timmins, Ontario. Shania's family was poor, but proud. She grew up with music, and she often retreated to her bedroom with her guitar to write and sing. Her mom noticed her talents and booked her everywhere. As an eight-year-old, she was pulled out of bed to sing with the house band at bars after midnight when alcohol sales ended. |
