Isn't it funny? That
the greatest gaming Co. of all time and didn't actually producing video
games. It actually started buy creating trading cards that had everything
from flowers to Disney characters. Then it proceeded on to create many
arcade games such as Donkey Kong. The first real competitor in home
gaming consoles made by Nintendo was called the Famicom in Japan or the
NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) in America. This brought back
the home gaming entertainment consoles from its almost extinction. There
was many great classic video games such as Mario Bros., The Legend of
Zelda, Donkey Kong, and many more. To follow that up was the early 90's
hit Super Famicom of SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System). This
16-bit sustem (as opposed to the now obsolete 8-bit NES) had superior
graphics for its time. It had many sequels to NES games and also some
new hits such as F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country one, two, and three, Super
Mario World, Starfox, Super Metroid, and many others. Then, in September
of 1996 came the N64 (Nintendo 64). This 64 bit system featured
three-dimensional graphics and some really great games. Some of these
games include Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and
Majora's Mask, another Starfox game and many more. Finally, came the
Present day GCN. This system had many great games such as Super Smash
Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine. The Legend of Zelda
the Wind Waker, Starfox Adventures Dinosaur Planet and many more. Other
Systems include Virtual Boy, Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color,
Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Advance SP. Now that you know a brief
history on Nintendo, try my other pages of my site. |
