Special equipment was made just for aggressive inline. The skates made for this sport are soft and will bend easily. These skates are all made to be a hard shell type. The hard shell is made out of a plastic or a type of leather material. | ||
| On the inside of the skate is a soft boot or liner with shock absorbers to soften the huge landings. At the bottom of the skate there is a very wide part on the sides of the set of wheels. These large side are called soul plates and are used to grind rails. | ||||

| On the bottom of the skate is the frame. The frame will hold the wheels in place. These frames have to be strong, low to the ground, and are always going to be a hard plastic. A built in or removable H block is put in the middle of the four wheels. This block is used to grind on rails and ledges just as the soul plate did. | |

The wheels on the skates are made out of polyurethane that is like a hard, rubber-like plastic. This polyurethane material is not likely to wear out fast, and they are low to the ground for control. | |

| There are different types of pads that are made for these stunts. All vert skaters use big pads because they are going high in the air and are risking more than street skaters. | |
