Birth and Death

 Roberto Clemente was born on August 18, 1934 in Carolina Puerto Rico. This is where he lived with his 2 brothers and played baseball with them. He died on December 31, 1972 in San Juan Puerto Rico at the age of 38. He tragically died in a plane accident when he was flying relief goods to nicaraguan people who suffered from earthquakes.

Teams and Hall of Fame

  Roberto Clemente played for the Pittsburgh Pirates his entire career, he said it was the only team he could ever call home. After Roberto's death he was recognized to the hall of fame. He was voted into the hall of fame with a 93% vote, (393 votes out of 424 ballots.)

Statistics

 Roberto Clemente had statistics like few other players. Roberto Clemente is in the top 10 is basically every category you can imagine in pirates history. He also has reached a milestone that no other pirate has ever reached. Roberto hit for 3,000 hits in almost the shortest amout of games ever.

World Series

 Roberto Clemente played in 1 world series as a pirate. He played in the 71 world series. In 1966 the pirates hall of famer won the mvp award but the pirates fell short of a title chance, but in 71 they had there chance, and Clemente stepped up to the plate. In the Series, roberto hit 3 homeruns and was hitting an amazing .414 average, it is truely one of the best world series appearances ever.

 Roberto Clemente started playing baseball at a very young age with his brothers. He grew up playing baseball how most kids think kids played back in the day. He started playing stickball with his brothers, he was never the biggest, but always competed.
