There are many parts to playing lacrosse. You must first understand the field before you can play the game. There are four different positions that you can play. All of the different positions are extremely important. On this page it will explain what all the different positions are, and how you would play them.
The first position is attack, the attack men are very important because they will be scouring the most goals. The attack are usually the most accrete shooters. Usually the attack will not be crossing the mid field line. Sometimes when the ball goes across and an attack is closer than a midi, and there is a midi on the same side, the attack could go get the ball.
The midis are more important than the attack. The midis take the face-off, if you have good face-offs then you have a better chance to win. The midis have another important roll, if the defense, goalie, or attack need to cross the mid field line a midi can stay back. Only one of the midis take the face-off, the other two midis are the wings, they help the face-off midi get the ball. Being a midi is one of the hardest position, you need to be able to run, and run a lot. You also need to be able to play attack and you need to be able to play defense.
Defense is extremely important. If you don't have good defense, you have a very low chance of winning the game. The defense helps the goalie a lot. The better the defense, the less shots the goalie gets. The less shots the goalie gets the less goalies being scored. The defense has different sticks than the other players. The attack and midis have sticks that are about three to four feet long. The defense stick is around six feet tall. It is longer cause it helps keep the midis and attack father away from the cage ( the goal).
The goalie is the most important person in the game. There is only one goalie in the game, but most teams have two goalies. If you don't have a goalie you cant win. There is a cercal around the cage (the goal). It is called the crease. No one is aloud in the crease, only the goalie. Defense is aloud in the crease, but only if they don't have the ball. The goalies stick is deferent than anyone else's. Its longer then the attack and midi, but its shorter than the defenses stick. The head on the stick is bigger than a basketball. So its easier to stop the ball from going in the goal.
