Season Begins

	In the off season before the season officially begins there is training camp. This camp is at the teams practice facility which is usually a near by college. It consist of many fields, large gyms to workout, and tons of equipment to get the players ready for " The road to the super bowl". The actual season starts in September and goes for seventeen week. Each team has sixteen games to base their playoff standings on. Each team receives one bye throughout the season. A bye is one week off for the team so they don't have to play. Bye's make you or break you in the NFL approaching your next game. You are either too ready or got a lot of rest for your players and good practice time resolving in a big win the following week. Games are played on Sundays starting at one o'clock and going till the late game at 8:30. There is also a big game on Monday nights at 9:00. This game is called Monday Night Football. No other games are played on Mondays so fans get excited while waiting for game time. Are you ready for some football? In the National Football League there are two divisions in which the teams are placed. The two divisions are the AFC and the NFC. There are four conferences in each division. They are North, South, Central, and West. Rivalry games are based your best competition in your Conference. For example the Steelers and the Cleveland Browns are big rivals because the are in the same conference. The teams are put in a certain conference depending on the teams city location. Some rivalries are in-state like the NY Giants and the NY Jets. As you can see these are all in the same conferences due to the fact that each team and its rivals are very close in location and therefore play each others several times a season. Tickets to games at every stadium in the US are sold out for years. The tickets are very hard to find. They are also very expensive. Because very few fans of each team can afford to make to all the games the games are broadcasted on TV. The growing population of football fans catch there teams on TV while in hopes of making the playoffs!
