The Playoff games are the determining games in which a team goes to the super bowl or goes home. Not every team makes it to the playoffs though you have to have a pretty decent seasonal record to get it to the playoffs. The better your record id in the regular season the better  your chances are to win games in the playoffs. The team with the overall best record gets home

The team with the overall best record gets Home Field advantage throughout the playoffs. They also get a BYE along with the team with the second best record. They get this BYE in the first week of the playoffs. If you win your team wins the division but does not have the best record, both the AFC and NFC divisional champs play the two Wild Card teams. Wild Card teams are the four teams which have the most wins in their conference.

If you lose just one game in the playoffs your team is out. You can say goodbye to your Super Bowl hopes because there is no second chance. Therefore, if you win your team goes on into the next round of the playoffs. The final for teams in the playoffs play in two games called the AFC and NFC Championship games.

These two championship games are almost as big as the incredible super bowl game. Out of the final for the two teams with the best record receive home field advantage in that big game. That is very important and can determine a win from a loss. The games are widely viewed throughout the US. The two winners of these games then finally get to go to the Super Bowl. They get a short break but not long before the game time approaches.
