There are many different breeds of dogs. Some dogs are for police work, guarding, and hunting. Some really good house pets that I would recommend are Labrador retrievers, Golden retrievers, Collies, Huskies, Basset hounds, Cocker Spaniels, Jack Russell Terrier and Dalmatians. | |

If you are a police or you want a guard dog you might want to get a German Shepherd, Doberman, Rottweiler, and labs. Labs are more for guarding than for police work though. The best hunting dog are probably Beagles, Grey Hounds, and Blood Hounds. They have excellent noses. |

Any dog is a family dog. If you like fast dogs and you want to enter you dog in a race then maybe you should get a Whippet. They are known to be the fastest dogs. If you like farming, then maybe a sheep dog would be great for you. | |

Sheep dogs help herd sheep, lambs, cows, and anything you might find on a farm. There are many other breeds that you can choose from. Whatever kind of dig you want just make sure you take really good care of it. It doesn't matter what breed it is, every dog needs attention. |
