Positions

There are twenty players on the field at once. Each team sends out ten people. There are six attack men or three sent out from each team. There are also six midfielders or three sent out from each team. There are six defense or three sent out from each team. There are also two goalies or one sent out from each team.

Midfielder

Midfield is one of the four positions of lacrosse. There are six midfielders on the field at once. The midfielder as two jobs. When your team is on offense your job as a midfielder is to get the ball in the other teams net. There are other offensive players that help you and they are called attack men. Your other job is to play defense. When the other team has the ball on your defensive area your job is to play on one of the other teams midfielder and cover him. If he gets the ball its your job to stop him or take the ball from him.

Defense

In the defensive position the is to keep the other teams attack men from scoring a goal or if possible stop the attack from even getting the ball.

Attack

Once the ball crosses the midfield line it is the attack zone. The attack men work with the midfielders to score goals. They are only allowed on one side of the field.

Goalie

In a lot of sports there is a goalie and in lacrosse there is one too. He does what all goalies are supposed to do, stop the ball from going in the goal. He also gets help from his defensive men.
