Volleyball was first  got started in  the United States  bye a man named William G. Morgan.  He only made this sport up so he didn't have to teach his class these sports baseball, handball, and tennis so he combined them in to  what is now volleyball.  That's how  this sport got started. 
This picture to your left is a picture of William G. Morgan. This is the man that invented volleyball for the U.S.

To your right is Williams work out studio. That is where volleyball first got started. William taught a lots of sports and dances.  

This man to your left was on the men's indoor volleyball team. They won their first gold metal in 1988.He was on the team when they won and he all so helped out a whole lot. He got 15 spikes over.
This man to your right is Ethan Watts he was on the US Olympic indoor volleyball team in the 1996 summer Olympics. He help out so much that summer games. By scoring 15 spikes in one game that a lot. 

This young athlete is Laura Davis. She is one of the youngest girls to go to the Olympics.  She help out her indoor volleyball team by digging the most balls. she dug at lest 66 balls that summer games.
