Lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer, and hockey. Lacrosse is fast sport with sprinting, stops and starts. Lacrosse is played with a stick (the crosse) and players must be able to throw, catch, and scoop the ball up off the ground. There are two different Major League Lacrosse leagues. There is an indoor league and an outdoor league. Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport. The United States Youth Membership has doubled since 1999 to over 60,000. | ![]() |

Also, in 2001 State High School Associations reported better than 74,000 people played High School Lacrosse. Lacrosse is becoming more and more popular throughout the U.S. and the world. | ![]() |
