The moment you bring your puppy  Maltese home, you will need to potty train it. You must be very tolerant with it. You have to train the dog not to chew on things but you should never hit it.
	Another thing you need to do is train your dog. Maltese's are often show dogs. You should train it for about 10-15 minutes 3 times a day. You should make sure that the training is enjoyable.
	Treats can be used in many ways. You can use them for good behavior or to build a relationship. There are many different kinds of treats.
	Dogs also love to play with toys. Some common toys are tug toys, (rubber) or rope toys. Dogs like to chew on the rubber toys and play with people with the rope toys.
	A Maltese must be fed 4 times a day. In the morning and evening you should serve dry food such as kibbles N bits.
	Dogs like the Maltese also like to eat vegetables, grains, meats, and dairy products. These foods are easily digestible so you don't have to worry.
	You must put your dog on a diet and keep it on that diet either until it grows or gets older. You can your veterinarian about when to switch to a different amount and a different kind of food.
