The Golden Retriever originated in Scotland by a man by the name of Lord Tweedmouth. He was trying to the best gun dog. After 20 years of trying, he finally came up with the "Golden Flatcoat", known today as the Golden Retriever.

Golden Retrievers have a symmetrical body and are active and powerful. Golden Retrievers aren't clumsy, they have great balance, and they are kind and always eager. Obviously Golden Retrievers are golden colored and they grow to be 20 to 24 inches and 60 to 80 pounds.  

Golden Retrievers are often beautiful and smart dogs. They're very sensitive to their owner's moods. This gentle and loving dog is always nice to people and are great with kids.

To make sure your dog is well and healthy, you should exercise him daily and make sure he's well-groomed. You shouldn't play tug-a-war with your puppy because it influences growling and violence.

Dogs need check-ups and shots every year and sometimes before. You should be sure to see that your dog has all the shots he needs.
