History
Dalmatians used to be coach dogs, which were dogs that rode along with people in coaches to look fancy and guard the luggage. Many people, when they think about Dalmatians, they often think of them as being firehouse dogs. These dogs have rumored to have originated in Russia and then were brought to the United States. |

Dalmatians are typically spotted, poised, and alert dogs. They're strong, active, fast, and capable of great endurance. These dogs aren't shy and often very smart. The average Dalmatian will grow to be 19 to 23 inches and their coats are usually short, fine, and glossy. |

Temperament
Dalmatians are good house dogs but, they're not always for everyone. Dalmatians are family oriented which can make them territorial. You should make sure the breeder did a good job because if they didn't your dog could go deaf. |
| Health
Like any other dog, you should get check-ups yearly. Make sure your dog has the right shots and is tattooed or micro chipped. Clip your dog's nails, brush his coat, and brush your dogs teeth weekly. |

Care
You should buy a crate to house break your puppy. Socialize your dog or puppy with other dogs and people. Enrolling your dog in obedience school is a good idea. Do not treat your dog roughly or abuse it. |
