The railroad capital of the Dutch Country Region is Strasburg, it is the number one 
tourist railroad with more than 400,000 vistors every year. Step aboard the 
Strasburg Railroad's steam drawn train and it will captivate you as you're taken on a
tour of historic Lancaster County. Stop at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, 
across the street, with a world class collection of over 100 historic locomotives and
railcars.

Travel North of Pittsburgh and you will find the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad. 
This train offers a 27 1/2 mile 2 1/2 hour trip over former Pennsylvania Railroad
tracks through the Oil Creek Valley, the birth place of the oil industry. Have
your postcards and letters postmarked aboard the only working railway post

The East Broad Top Railroad 
In Huntingdon County in central PA there remains the only narrow gauge
railroad in the eastern United States. The East Broad Top railroad began
running in 1873. There is also a small trolley museum across the street
that you can take a ride on. Both places have tour guides that tell you
the history of the vehicle your on as well as the area.

The Gettysburg Railroad is both a freight and tourist railroad.
A tourist trip runs a 16 mile round trip between Gettysburg and 
Biglerville. They have a narrated look at the sites of some of the
first day battles of the Battle of Gettysburg.
