Pionus birds are very small and medium size bird. These parrots have a wonderful personality. Pionus birds have are green with a white cap on top of there forehead. They have blue on the rest of there head and breast.  On there underside of there tail is red. Pionus birds are very quite birds.

 Pionus birds eat fruits, seeds, nuts, and greenstuffs. They mostly eat pellets.  You need to make sure that you change its food and water every day.

  Your bird needs a roomy cage unless your bird is let out a lot during the day. You bird can spend most of its time on perches or play on pens. You should also have different toys in your birds cage.

Pionus birds tame very easy. They are also very sociable. They are not like loud conures or amazons. These birds are also very easy to take care of because of the way that they act.

These birds are very easy to tame. You first want to wait to train your bird until it can trust you and you can trust him. When you train your bird you can not be afraid of it. When you bird does something good you should give it an award.

These parrots are supposed to be more susceptible to the infection aspergillosis than any other species. These main symptom is heavy, belabored breathing.
