Goaltender Tom Barrasso was probably the Penguins' best goalie ever. In November 1988, he was acquired by the Penguins in a trade. Tom Barrasso was the Penguins' goalie when they won both of their Stanley Cup Championships. He ended up playing in Pittsburgh for a total of ten seasons in his career. | ||

Some of Barrasso's accomplishments were as follows: made the NHL First All-Star Team (1984), won the Vezina Trophy, won the Calder Trophy, lead the NHL in shutouts (1984-85), and made the NHL All-Rookie Team (1984). |

Jaromir Jagr played for the Penguins eleven years. He was a part of both Stanley Cups and he and Lemieux were an unstoppable force together. |

Jagr's best season was the1995-96 season. He scored 62 goals and had 87 assists, together adding up to 149 points. Some trophies that he won included the Art Ross Trophy (5 times), the Hart Memorial Trophy, and the Lester B. Pearson Trophy (2 times). |

Mario Lemieux is actually thought to be by many people, the whole game of hockey's best player ever. Mario has won two Stanley Cups in his career, has set very many records, and has won tons of awards and trophies. These show that it is no wonder why Lemieux got the nickname "Simply the Best." |
