The Pittsburgh Penguins have had many different uniforms over the years.  To the left is one of their earliest uniforms.  During the Penguins' beginnings, they had blue uniforms (left).  Then later on around their Stanley Cup Championships, they had black and yellow uniforms, which most Pittsburgh sports teams have. Most recently, in the past few years, the Penguins have switched to a black and gold uniform with their original logo with the old logo on the shoulder.

Back around the years of 1991 and 1992, the Pittsburgh penguins were their best ever.  During that time, they won two Stanley Cup Championships.  The Penguins had great coaches and some of hockey's best players ever, and they all really wanted to win.  Even though after their first cup their coach died, they got an even better one, and fought through to get another.

During the Penguins' reign of greatness a while back, they had many great players including a few are: Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Paul Coffey, Bryan Trottier, Ron Francis, and Tom Barrasso.  Their two coaches during this time were Bob Johnson and Scotty Bowman.

The Pittsburgh Penguins' first season was the 67-68 season.  They acquired some good players early on like Les Binkley, Greg Polis, and Michel Briere.  It took a little while for them to get good, but when "The Savior," Mario Lemieux got drafted, that is when it all got started.
