| Many people do not know what El Nino is, where it is, and what it has to do with our weather. El Nino is a warm ocean current in the Pacific Ocean. El Nino occurs every three to seven years on average., What allows this to occur? When trade winds weaken (winds that blow from northeast north of the equator and southeast south of the equator), the warm water flows east towards the United States is what allows this to happen. |
