Bon Scott (1946-1980) Ex-Band Member

Bon Scott was born on July 9, 1946 in Kirriemiur, Scotland. In his earlier years of being in bands he started with The Spectors where he doubled up on vocals and drums. He then heard about AC/DC, so he decided to try and get a vocal job with them. They said they didn't even have to hear him because they heard he had a gravely voice and he was hired. After producing the album Highway To Hell, Bon passed away by drinking. He actually passed out and he was laying face up and he choked on his own vomit. Bon Scott was always the greatest addition to the band and he is greatly missed. In order to pay respect to Bon, the band made the album Back In Black with new vocal man Brian Johnson. The song Hell's Bells on the album truly showed the attitude of Bon.

All About Angus

Malcolm Young (1953-?) Band Member

Malcolm was born on January 6, 1953 in Glasgow, Scotland. He is the sixth child of the Young family. He originally was in the band Velvet Underground in which he played guitar. Velvet Underground then split up and Malcolm was looking to make a band with one guitar and a keyboard. But he went with his instincts and turned to his brother for two guitarists.

 Brian Johnson (1947-?) Band Member

Brian Johnson was born on October 5, 1947 in Dunston, England. After the death of Bon Scott, Malcolm Young approached him about singing for them. Brian agreed and the band didn't even have him try out. Some people say that Brian is Bon's twin because of the similarity of their voice.

 Phil Rudd (1954-?) Band Member

Phil Rudd was born on May 19, 1954. He started playing drums  for the colored balls. Then AC\DC approached him about a drumming position in the band. At first Phil hesitated but then he finally decided to take the job. After a while the band realized he wasn't reliable and he was too much of a druggie and an alcoholic so they fired him and hired chris slade. In 1994 after 10 years the band gave him a call and he was sober so the band hired him again.
