Most adult male Labrador Retrievers are between 22 and 24 inches at the shoulders and females are about one inch smaller.
Labrador Retrievers should be medium-sized and were never intended to be considered giants. The normal weight range for the breed is 55-80 pounds.

All Labrador Retrievers have serviceable, water-resistant coats and are relatively easy to groom.
A brief daily once-over with a flea comb and a thorough weekly brushing are about all that is required.
They do shed, but not excessively.  They are a double-coated breed and the brushing will help remove dead under-coat and bring a shine to the fur.  They only require baths periodically.
There are three "approved" colors of Labrador Retrievers: black, yellow, and chocolate.  These colors are basically governed by the three sets of genes.
