AC\DC
In AC\DC 3 of the members were from Scotland. There are 2 brothers in the band Malcolm and Angus Young. Bon (Ronald) Scott set up a list of people to be in the band. The Young brothers had a Younger brother named George. He was the first person to get them a recording contract. AC\DC is one of the top rock bands ever. With the Young's in control they will stay that was forever. |

Black
Sabbath
In 1967 singer John Michael "Ozzy Osborne" joined up with guitarist Tony Iommi,Ted Butler on bass and drummer Bill Ward. They first called themselves Mythology and Whole Earth as their first band names. Then Black Sabbath came into play. Sabbath is no longer a band because Ozzy went solo, but their legend as Black Sabbath continues to rock.

Deep Purple
The first place place Deep Purple signed to was Palo phone. They were influenced to start a band by Vanilla Fudge. Their music featured reworks of famous rock songs and their own. The band ignored every other continent and went right to the U.S. That's all about Deep Purple. |

K.I.S.S.
In the early 1970's,rock swept the country scene. Performers wore make-up and glitter costumes and tall platform shoes. This trend soon took to heavy metal. One particular U.S. band took it too heart. The band was K.I.S.S. K.I.S.S was founded by the bassist Gene Simmons, and drummer Peter Criss. K.I.S.S's first single was Destroyer in 1976. Simmons took to the stack-soled boots fashion to new heights. Today K.I.S.S is known for setting a trend and their intense music. It will always be that way

Led Zeppelin
In 1968 Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones started Led Zeppelin. Page and Jones first choice for singer was Terry Reid. Terry said he would sing if John "Bonzo" Bonham was the drummer. Led Zeppelin got their band name from the WHO's drummer. He said that they would go down like a "leaden" zeppelin referring to a German warship. Led Zeppelin rocks with songs like "stair way to heaven" and "Mobey Dick" they will continue to rock for ever!! |

Metallica
In 1981 Danish-born drummer Lars Ulrich and local guitarist and vocalist James Hatfield and placed almost put identical adds in the news paper as Ron McGovery. So they took him as the bass player. The next year Cliff Burton came in as the bassist. They were at last beginning to come together. Now that Metallica is together they will rock forever. |
