There are many different types of bathing suits and companies that make them. Some are for training/practice and others are made just for competitions.

There are seven different types of "fast skin" suits produces by the company Speedo. One of them is the male jammer. Before, males used to wear loose suits but that slowed them down. A couple years ago Speedo came out with the male jammer. Now, they wear jammers or full body suits to get a faster time. Speedo also has a women's line of "fast skin" bathing suits. Unlike the normal female suits, these bathing suits can cover your neck, part of your arms, and part of your legs. These bathing suits give you a faster, more efficent swim. |
| The brand Nike also has many different products for many different sports. They don't have as much products for swimming as Speedo does because Nike has products for other sports. They mainly sell solid colored bathing suits. They don't make as many different patterns as Speedo. Their bathing suits also don't tend to last as long as Speedo's. |
