House Breaking:

  • Every time a dog/puppy eats, drinks, or wake up they must go outside.

  • Take it outside each time this happens.

  • Continue for 10 or more days.  The dog/puppy should start to see a pattern.

Leash Training:

  • Use lures and praise to keep puppy at your side.

  • But keep leash loose because if the dog/puppy goes ahead you cna then pull it in another direction.

  • Practice this around your house or yard everytime you have a chance.

Come:
  • Let the puppy/dog follow you around.  First indoors and then move outside.
  • Walk slowly and click your tongue to call the dog/puppy.
  • Then, call the puppy/dogs' name in a cheerful voice, next say "come".
  • Practice this around your house.  As soon as your dog/puppy starts to get it, take it outside and try.

Running away:

  • When your puppy/dog tries to run away, yell come!

  • Your puppy will then realize your not playing a game and therefore run after you.

  • Give your puppy/dog a lot of praise and/or treats.

  • First, put your puppy/dog on a leash.

  • Then, command to sit!

  • As your doing this pull down on the leash.

  • As soon as it sits praise he/she over and over again.

  • Practice this all the time, sometimes reward the puppy/dog with treats.

  • After teaching your puppy/dog how to sit, put a leash on it.
  • Then, pull the leash forward and say "down"!
  • As soon as it lays praise it.
  • Repeat this every time you make the dog/puppy sit.
