Walt Disney dreamed of creating a community that would be a "showcase to the world". In 1982,Walt Disney achieved his dream. EPCOT was built on 250 acres of land.

| Besides its world showcase, EPCOT is known for its
"golf ball", which is a ride called Spaceship Earth. It is
the symbol of EPCOT.

There are 2 rides at EPCOT. They are the Test Track and Mission:Space. At the Test Track, you see all the tests GM does on dummies and cars to ensure safety. You see that while you're in line. Once you get on the ride, you sit in a test car and go through all of the test. If you want to be an astronaut, go on over to Mission:Space. At Mission:Space, you get assigned a job. You can be a pilot, engineer, navigator, or commander. You don't go into space though.(Obviously.) It's another simulator. Mission:Space makes you feel like you're actually going into outer space! Real astronauts have ridden this ride. The majority say that it feels like you're really blasting off!
