The Future

With many Mustangs in circulation in America, it was obvious that they would be raced. In order for the Mustang to beat the snot out of the Corvette, Ford needed an edge that they couldn't seem to grasp. Until a Texan, and long time racer saw the potential saw the potential of the Mustang to kick the Vett's butt. That man was Carroll Shelby.

He took 100 of the 1969 Mustangs tossed out the k-code engines and put in a GT 350. His models of the Mustangs were made through the 70's, and are now considered the most valuable, and desireable Mustangs that carried the Shelby VIN numbers.
