In the early 60’s the Ford Motor Company knew the 60’s would be ruled by Baby Boomers, and there was no reason to think that they wanted to drive anything that worked, ran, or even looked like their parents cars. The Mustang was the outcome. The Mustang was shown for the first time at the New York World Fair in 1964, and went up for sale at Ford dealers all over the country the same day. From that day on the Ford Mustang took the world by storm.
