Peter’s father loved Jazz and introduced his son to musician at an early age. When Peter was a child, he listened to his idol, Gene Krupa, and played imaginary drumset made from household items.

When he was he was singing a vocal group called the Stars. He also graduated, by the time his father bought him his first real drum. |

Peter had a tough time growing up in the streets of New York, and he soon found himself in a gang and also in a little trouble. |
During those tough times, art became a passion of his, so Peter was to leave the streets for art school. Soon after, Peter found out that art didn’t fit his personality, so he turned back to drumming full time. Peter worked hard to buy a real set of drums and began taking drum lessons from Jazz legend Gene Krupa and said that he put some of Krupa drum techniques in his solos with KISS.
Many bands went by, but there was only one band that gave him a taste of shot-live success with a recording contract in 1996, and that was Chelsea. Peter wouldn’t have another chance of recording again until the Lips hit the studio in 1971, but it wouldn’t last long. Finally he settled with KISS for a long time.
