anti-flag history
for the real story on anti-flag you have to go way back to 1988.
at the time pat could hardly play drums and Justin was even worse at the guitar . but the fact remained that they where really the only punk rockers in Glenshaw Pennsylvania (the town where they grew up) they where faced with either hanging out at the mall, getting screwed out of there minds on drugs, or attempting to play punk rock, they went straight for the punk rock (thank god) by 1989 they where playing just well enough to have a band, witch didn't look anything like the anti-flag of today at that time Justin's sister Lucy faster held down the lead vocals a number of stray guitar and bass players sifted in and out of the mix after playing only one show at a church hall that they rented out the band fell apart and as far as they where concerned the band atni-flag was dead forever.(o god)
jump ahead to 1993
after playing in a number of forgettable bands Justin and pat drove across the country to screw around on the west cost for a while and when they came back to the Pittsburgh they where even more determined to start a band all they needed was a good bass player that's where Andy flag came into the picture they practiced and practiced during the reminder of February and part of march and with in a few weeks they where scheduled to play a live radio show on WRCT in Pittsburgh (as far as i know they are not in business
