Story Plot

The lions are the animals ruling the Pride Lands. They lived side by side with all the other safari animals. The lions lived on Pride Rock which was the center of the Pride Lands.

Mufasa was the lion and king of the Pride Lands. He kept the lands in order and made sure that everything went by the circle of life. Mufasa had a wife, Nala, and they had a son, Simba. Simba, being the first son of the king, received the right if being next in line to be king. Everyone in the Pride Lands was happy with this with the exception of one person, Scar. Scar was Mufasa's younger brother. Scar was friends with the hyenas who lived isolated in the Outlands. He despised Simba because since Simba was there, Scar would never get the title of king, but Simba was unaware of his uncle's bad intentions.

Scar one day "accidentally" told Simba that the place that Simba wasn't allowed to go to was elephant graveyard. Being the curious cub he is, Simba disobeyed his father and went to check it out. He took along with him his best friend, Nala. There they met up with some hyenas. This was all part of Scars scheme. Just when the hyenas were about to kill Simba and Nala, Mufasa came to the rescue.

After a little bit, Scar took Simba down into a gorge and said that his father was going to meet him there for a "surprise". The hyenas then scared some grazing animals. They stampeded into the gorge heading straight at Simba. Mufasa came to the rescue, but right after he had saved Simba he fell back down and died. Simba was devastated and he asked his uncle what to do. Scar said to run, run and never return. Simba ran and the hyenas, but they failed to kill Simba and Simba escaped.

Simba made it to a dry, desert area and he passed out. Timon and Pumbaa found him and after some debating, they took him in. Simba forgets the Pride Lands and lives with Timon and Pumbaa in the wild by living off of bugs and the phrase "Hakuna Matata".

Simba grows up in the jungle and becomes one of the guys. Then, coincidentally Simba meets his childhood friend, Nala. She had left the Pride Lands to look for help. Scar and his hyenas had taken over the Pride Lands. Everything was chaotic and there was no more food or water left. They talk and then they fall in love.

Nala asks Simba to come back to the Pride Lands, but Simba refuses. He says that he doesn't belong there, but with some persuading from the shaman Rafiki and Mufasa's spirit. Simba decides to go back.

Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa arrive in the Pride Lands. The four of them and the lionesses fight against Scar and the hyenas and defeat them. Simba takes the throne as the rightful king with Nala at his side. The destruction made by Scar is slowly undone and the Pride Lands are restored.
