Challenger Baseball is a local organization in Bethel Park. This organization helps specially challenged children play baseball. Many challenged children never get the chance to play organized sports, but this gives them the chance to get out onto the field and play. Volunteers for this organization help the children run the bases and catch the balls. Each child is assigned a buddy to help them play.

This is the type of things children maybe pushed around on by their "buddies". Some children just need someone to hold their hand and show them where to go while others completely depend on their buddy.

This is a picture of some children who play the games. The children in the picture are faced with disabilities that have made it so they need help playing.

This year alone there are 6 teams of children waiting to get out onto the field and play. The teams play each other in cycles and then there is a picnic at the end of the season. Local businesses donate food and some is bought and the children get pictures taken while their families join in on the festivities.
