Did you know that soccer can't be traced back
to a specific person that invented it, and it also can't be traced back to
a place that it was invented at. There are two years and places that
have been thought to have been two spots for the invention of
soccer. The first place is in China in 400 B.C. but then again
there are signs of it being invented in England in 200 B.C. No one really
does know the true fact, though. |

During the middle ages everyone would go out to
the streets and either kick around a "soccer ball" or play the
game of soccer in the street against one an other. This brought
soccer to become so popular, and the king of England was getting
upset. The people that did jobs for the king were now not as focused
on what they were doing so around the 1300s the king tried to ban soccer
from England. well, that didn't work soccer kept growing and growing and
just became more popular. |

Men's soccer was the first game that was
actually allowed to have real teams and to compete between one
another. Girls could play soccer but they were not lucky enough to
actually have a real team to play with, but by the early 1900s girls
had teams to play on. they were not as competitive
as the men were at
the beginning, but girls soccer grew and now it can be named to be even
more competitive then men's. |

in the year 2004 soccer is played all over the world. There are thousands
of team all over the world between men, and women. It’s amazing how much
soccer has grown and spread in such a little about of time. Soccer is now
played by kids and adults of all ages. |
