| To play soccer
you don’t really need an extreme amount of things, but there are still a
few things that you need to play the game.
Most teams have what is called a uniform. It usually consists of a tee-shirt, a pair of shorts, and usually the same color knee high socks. Then, you have to wear a pair of shin guards. There are two kinds of shin guards. There are shin guards that have an ankle support, and one kind that just covers your shin but has no ankle support. Then, you need to wear a pair of shoes called cleats. A cleat had spikes on the bottom of it to help from slipping and falling. The spikes on the bottom but be rubber, though. You can’t wear metal spikes because of a huge safety reason. In soccer you can slide tackle to get the ball off of someone and if you do that with metal spikes then there is a huge danger in the cleat going into someone’s leg, or you could get extremely hurt from the metal hitting your leg. So, just to make this easier and less of an injury problem everyone must wear rubber instead of metal. |

The Goalie has a choice of wearing a pair of goalie gloves or not wearing a pair. Its really doesn’t matter if you wear them or not its what fits the person best. Then, the goalie has to wear a shirt that is a different color than the two teams on the field. They have to do this so that the teams don’t get confused and accidentally pass if to the goalie when they aren’t supposed to or pass if to the goalie because they thing that he/she is their teammate. The two teams themselves also must wear different color shirts to stop confusion and to help the team’s figure out who is on their team. | |
| Then, on the
field there must be 4 outer lines marked, two goal boxes, and a halfway
line. There must me 4 flags marking each corner, and two goals about the
size of 27-28 inches in circumference. There must also be a net in the two
goals.
Soccer doesn’t have a huge need for things bur does need those few certain things to get by, and the things needed are a " have to get" item.
