The
biggest shock this year has been Alex Rodriguez, he was traded to the
Yankees. The Yankees now have the two best shortstops. A-Rod was moved to
third, but is still an excellent player. After winning MVP last year New
York has great expectations for this season. |

The
Cubs are lucky to have these two pitchers. Kerry Wood (left) is a great pitcher
that can strike out almost anyone. Last season he had 266 strikeouts, the
best in the league. Mark Prior (right) is a power pitcher that had an excellent
ERA last year of 2.43. |

Dontrelle Willis
(left) and Josh Beckett (right) were a big part in the Marlins World Series Championship
last year. Willis is a 22 year old, high kicking lefty that won Rookie of
the Year in 2003. Beckett is a 23 year old that was World Series MVP in
2003. |

Another great set
of pitchers is Barry Zito (left) and Mark Mulder (right) of the Oakland A's. Zito is a
lefty with an amazing curveball that held opposing batters to a .219
batting average. Mulder is also a lefty with great endurance and an
excellent splitter. |

Barry
Bonds is one of the most feared hitters in the majors. Although he is
conceited and thinks its all about him, he can crush the ball. He has 8
golden gloves, but he is not the greatest of outfielders. He is an
excellent batter but not a good outfielder. He is breaking records all the
time and is still not done. He holds the current homerun record of 73
homeruns in one season. Bonds career average is not .300. I don't like
Barry Bonds very much but some people do. I think that if you can hit the
ball as hard as he does you should be able to get base hits and have a
better average. |
