By far, Pebble Beach is the best golf course in America, its been voted the best course in America too many times to count. Its also one of the most expensive places to play at in America. Pebble Beach is one amazing course. It opened in 1919. The course is set on towering cliffs above Carmel Bay. The 4th through 10th holes-with the exception of the 5th-along with the 17th and 18th, are all sitting on the craggy rocks overlooking the surf. These are some of the most scenic holes in all of golf. The 18th hole a 548-yard par five, is perhaps the best-known hole in the world, with water on the left and out of bounds on the right. The 8th hole runs along with the Carmel Coast and is open to the hazards. The 7th green is located just a few feet away from the crashing  waves of Carmel Bay. This course is home to the U.S. Open. The 9th hole is built above the sandy shore on rocky cliffs. This is one course that is not to be taken lightly.

Augusta National Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia is one of the most distinguished and greatest courses in the U.S.A. and maybe even the world. The founder of the course is Bobby Jones who had the help of architect Alister Mackenzie. The course is strong enough to test the best PGA Tour Players yet is subtle enough for the members. The course was developed in the early 1900's and has not had any alterations until 2000, with the redesigning of 8 holes. The holes were  lengthened to add to the difficulty in many directions. There are only 46 bunkers on the whole course. Augusta National Golf Course is arguably the best course in the United States and in the world along with Pebble Beach. The course has not changed drastically since 1935, recently they have lengthened holes and there adding more challenging obstacles. As you may know, Augusta is host to the most prestigious tournament in golf, The Masters, every year in April. There are many challenging holes, such as the 16th, the long pars over the waters, the 17th, the challenging par 4, and on the 18th, the distinctive home hole, giving the course an excellent finish.
