About the Area
Key West is a very small, rural island in the Keys of Florida.  It was once owned by the Spanish and has a very rich Spanish culture.  Today it is inhabited by tourists, resorts, and natives to the island.  It is a very lovely island with mountains, beaches, forests, and wildlife to suit everyone's love of nature.
The climate in the Keys is fairly even.  The average winter temperature. is about 71'F.  Spring is about 77'F.  Summer can reach up to 85'F.  and Fall is just about at an average of 80'F.  The rainy season is well known as June through September and hurricane season is September through November.
Things to Do
There are many things to do on the Island of Key West.  If you enjoy water, beaches, scenery, and wildlife, then this is the place for you.
You can enjoy spending time surrounded by fish, coral, water and so much more as you enjoy a day of snorkeling through the coral reefs.
You could also enjoy renting  a scuba diving suit and have an under water adventure with the fish, animals and so many more exciting events.
Also, you could spend some time on a tour exploring the wildlife, scenery, and such while you hike through the small mountains on the island.
To get to these beautiful places you could enjoy anything from a jeep ride or a long hike to an incredible bike trip through the wild, uninhabited forests.
If you would like to spend time closer to your hotel, you can always spend time finding a lesson for anything from diving and swimming to golf and tennis.
With all of this at your hotels, you can also have some quiet, relaxing time on a beautiful white sand, blue water beach.
