Star Trek: Voyager


	The Voyager is a Maquis ship. The ship is swept to the far side of the galaxy into the Delta Quadrant where it would take seventy to eighty years to get home at maximum warp.
Captain Janeway was actually the ships commander but the captain died when the ship is thrown across the galaxy, so Janeway assumes command.
	Chakotay is the commander of the Voyager. He is of a group of Native Americans who left Earth and formed there own colony. Chakotay joined the Maquis vessel to help protect his home from the Cardassians.
Turok is the Voyager's Vulcan chief security officer. Turok is approximately 150 years old, as Vulcans have long life spans, and he restrains all his emotions, as all Volcans do.
	Tom Paris is imprisoned in a Federation Penal Facility when he is recruited as a Lieutenant for the Maquis ship. Tom eventually becomes the first man to break the warp ten barrier.
B'Elanna Torres is a half-human, half-Klingon officer on the Voyager. Her father is human and her mother is Klingon, and because of this she has to battle internal conflict between her human intellect and Klingon pride.
	Harry Kim is the operations and communications officer. Kim is killed later in the Voyager series, but he is replaced by a near duplicate Harry Kim.
Neelix was an independent trader in the Delta Quadrant, but he then decided to try to help the Voyager get home using his knowledge of the Delta Quadrant. he also becomes the ships chef and moral officer. Neelix is of the Talaxian species.
	Kes is an Ocampa. Ocampas have a life span of about nine years, and Kes is one year old when she joins the Voyager. At the age of one Ocampas are considered adults.
The Emergency Medical Hologram is the ships doctor. All the ships medical staff had died when the ship was dragged across the galaxy so he was activated. The doctor is a complex hologram that comes complete with a personality, unfortunately this one is a jerk.
