actually the sixth ship to bear the Enterprise name. Seven years of
its journey is recorded in the seven seasons of Star Trek: Next
Generation. |

the captain of the Enterprise-D. Captain Picard is also on a mission
to explore uncharted regions of space like Captain Kirk, only his mission
isn't limited to five years. |

Enterprise-D, making him second in command. Captain Picard seems
more interested in Riker's starfleet career than Riker himself. |

android science officer on the Enterprise-D. He is strong, fast, and
intelligent, but he is always on a quest to become more human like
and to possibly experience emotions. |

is the ship's counselor, and she has the unique ability to fell other
people's emotions because she is half-Betazoid. |
| Geordi La
Forge is the blind pilot that uses a special visor tosee like anybody
else. He etventually makes his way to the higher ranks, and a spot
in the engine room as an engineer. |

the chief security officer on the Enterprise-D, but she eventually dies. |
| Lieutenant
Worf, the first Klingon in Starfleet is a bridge officer that aquires the
role of chief security officer when Tasha Yar dies. |

Beverly
Crusher is the ships doctor. She is sometimes impatient to
find answers, and is always concerned about something. |
| Wesley Crusher
is the bright young child of Beverly Crusher. He eventually lands a
position on the bridge on the Enterprise-D. |
