| This next movie is
called Shrek. This movie features Eddie Murphy as the donkey, Mike Myers
as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona, and John Lithgow as Lord
Farquaad. |

Shrek
is an ogre who lives alone in and around a swamp. All the fairy tale
creatures have escaped from Lord Farquaad and he is offering rewards for
anyone who catches one and brings it to them. One animal escapes while he
is being brought in. It is of course the donkey. When he has no where to
go he runs into the forest and hides with the ogre. When all the guards
run into the forest after the donkey and see the ogre they run the other
way because everyone is scared of the ogre. So after they run off Shrek
tells the donkey to leave him alone but he just keeps following him, so
Shrek lets him go back to his house but he makes him sleep outside. Then
the next morning Shrek wakes up to find bunches of fairy tale creatures in
his swamp. So he gets mad and goes and reports his complaint to Lord
Farquaad. Lord Farquaad says you can have your land back if you save
Princess Fiona. |
| So
Shrek and the donkey go out and try to save the princess. Shrek gets really
annoyed of the donkey and tries to get him to leave but he won't. When
they finally reach the castle they have no idea how they are going to get
in because it is guarded by a fire breathing dragon. They soon find out
that the dragon is attracted to they donkey so the donkey distracts the
dragon while Shrek runs in to rescue her. He gets in and reaches the
princess and starts to carry her out right before the dragon sets it on
fire and they have to run out of the dragons way. The dragon can only go
so far though because he is chained to the castle. So they find a place to
sleep over night and Shrek realizes that he is in love with Princess
Fiona. |

That
night the donkey goes to talk to Princess Fiona and he finds out that at
night she too turns into and ogre like Shrek. Donkey promises Fiona that
he won't tell Shrek. So the next day they go back to Lord Farquaad and he
turns the princess over to Farquaad. Then Princess Fiona and Lord Farquaad
are scheduled to get married the next day but she doesn't want too. During
their wedding Shrek runs in and stops it and him and the princess end up
getting married. So it ends up good for everyone. Even the dragon. |
