Chicago features three main actors. These actors include Richard Gere, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Renee Zellweger. Some other small appearances include Queen Latifah and Mya.
	This movie is about a woman named Roxy Heart who wants to become a famous performer like Velma Kelly. This movie is more a musical then anything. It has singing in every scene. Roxy Heart then ends up cheating on her husband with a furniture salesmen because he says he can get her into the singing business. When he tells her that none of that was true she shoots him. When her husband finds out about this he tries to cover up for her because he doesn't want her to go to jail. He tells the police that he was climbing through the window and he shot him in self defense. Then he finds out that Roxy was cheating on him so he tells the police that everything he told them was a lie and Roxy ends up going to jail.
She then realizes that she has to get out of jail and still pursue her dream. So she ends up hiring the most expensive lawyer in Chicago, Billy Flynn. He has won every case he has ever fought for with a female's case. As she starts to get publicity for her crime she does other things that gain more publicity. Well Velma Kelly is in jail too and she wants publicity just as much Roxy so it is turning into a contest. Then Roxy faked her having a baby and the public falls for it. So does her husband. As she awaits her trial she has dreams of herself becoming famous. Roxy and Billy practice everything that are going to say during the trial, but it is all mostly fake. When her trial has finally come and is over with and she is found innocent her and Velma star in a double act. The movie ends when Roxy and Velma become a famous duo.
	Catherine Zeta Jones plays the role of Velma Kelly. The murderer that killed her husband and sister because they were having an affair. She was put in jail, didn't have an act anymore and finds Billy Flynn who helps her get out until Roxy Heart Comes along.
Roxy Heart. A murderer who kill and guy she was having an affair with due to the fact that he was pretty much dumping her after 5 months. She try's to get her husband to play along with this whole thing but the thing is he doesn't know about the affair. He thinks that he was a burglar but then the cops say his name. He realizes that he was no burglar but instead was his furniture salesman. She goes to jail then gets her husband to get her out by paying Billy Flynn.
	Billy Flynn. A lawyer. Not just any lawyer. Only the greatest lawyer who gets everyone off death row. There hasn't been any woman who has got death row because of him. He was helping Velma but then Roxy comes along. Billy takes interest in her and puts Velma aside. When a new murderer comes along Billy jumps on it leaving Velma and Roxy behind. Roxy decides she isn't going to take it. So she fakes that she is pregnant.
