These cats live in the wild and do not interact with humans. They can range in size and some are well known, while others lead secret lives.
This is the well-known Lion. Most Lions are known for their pride and bravery. They are also respected and sometimes feared. The male has a large main and the female is a very powerful hunter.
Tigers are also very powerful animals and their numbers are decreasing. There are only about 200 Tigers in the wild. Their strong paws will knock you over and they will eat humans if they are weak.
The Black Panther and Leopard are exactly alike except for their coloration. They live mostly in Africa and Asia. Both of these animals spend a lot of time in trees and also bring their kill up on the trees with them.
The Yaguara, also known as a Jaguar, is a very good swimmer. It was also used in South Africa mythology, especially the Aztecs. Their warriors had an eagle god or a Jaguar god. They also are decreasing in numbers because they are being killed for their coats.

The Puma is part of a group called the small cats. This seems odd because the Puma is very big, but it is because of the way their bodies are built. The Puma has a long furry tail and their back legs are longer than their front legs, making them good stalkers. They were also worshiped in Mochida culture.

The fastest wildcat would have to be the Cheetah. It can reach speed of up to 70 mph in three seconds. It can keep its speed for about 550 feet. Cheetahs have long skinny legs and a small head, with short rounded ears. They evolved to be able to run fast so they can catch their pray which consists of mostly gazelle or antelope.
An example of a very small cat would be and Ocelot. This cat mainly lives n the forest and hunts by day. It is also a very good swimmer and they live in pairs. The Ocelot is also known as a "Tigrillo" or little tiger in Mexico.
