Cats are normally very easy to care for and don't need as much attention as dogs. They don't need much space either. You have to feed, brush and play with a cat to keep them happy and healthy.
All kittens and most cats love to play. As a kitten playing helps them develop skills they need as an adult. Also, if your grown cat is living only inside it needs to play for exercise.
Cats, like humans, need to be fed.  They need Vitamin A, Calcium D, Carbohydrates, Proteins, and even fatty acids just to name a few.  They will eat grass to clean out their throats and get certain vitamins.  Cats can eat either canned, dry or semi-moist food.  All are healthy.  Some cat owners even give their cats fresh house food, but before you do that, consult a veterinarian.
Cat grooming is also very important.  Their nails must be cut with cat clippers.  Some cats are difficult so only cut one or two nails per day.  You also need to brush a cat to remove tangles and dead hair from their coats.  You can also wash your cat if it becomes contaminated with oil, grease, or before a show.  Mostly the cat can clean itself with its tongue.

You can have a cat that lives only inside or you can have a cat which lives inside and outside.  There are dangers to both.  There can be plants that are toxic to cats outside but you could also have those plants in your house.  There are also the neighboring cats to watch out for so there are no fights.  The knives and plastic bags can hold dangers inside.
To keep a cat healthy you need to bring it to its checkups, but you also have to watch for signs that your cat is sick or injured.  Their skin can also be infected with parasites like fleas or ticks.  Cats like humans can also go blind or deaf.  They can even get a form of the "cat flu".
If your cat gets sick or injured, you need to be able to help it get better.  You will need to be able to give your cat medicine tablets, injections, eye drops and other things.  After being sick, most cats need to be kept warm and rested.  You need to make sure they keep in their stitches and keep on their bandages.
