| 0_"= | An Atv is an All Terrain Vehicle ATV for short. An ATV is a very versatile vehicle that has many uses. ATV'S are used for so many things. This picture to the left is a Honda 400EX. This quad will approach speeds of about 70 mph. |
| Over the last 5 years ATV'S have became very popular. There are kids 6 years old that ride ATV'S for fun. Quads have engines ranging from 50cc's to 750cc's. Usually the average engine size is a 400. Usually quads above 450cc are race quads. You can make stock motors bigger by boring them out. Boring out means cutting the cylinder walls wider so that a bigger piston will fit inside the cylinder walls. The picture to the right is a piston. | |
| Atv riders usually use their quads for recreation or racing. People who race atv's are very good riders. Most people just enjoy the fun of going out and riding for a Sunday afternoon. | |
