Los Angeles Lakers

	The LA Lakers are known for a tradition of winning as the today Stars have started off with two titles in this decade. But their most powerful years were in the 1980's as they dominated the competition by a margin of victory of about 18 points. Winning 5 out of the 10 possible titles in this decade. With the dynamic trio of Magic Johnson, James Worthy, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar they were known as the "Showtime" era. They got this name as they were the first to start the new kind of basketball with the behind the back passes and high-flying dunks. And people thought they always put on a "show" so they called them "Showtime."
