Brian Doyle- Murray

Brian Doyle- Murray, Bills older brother, was one of the "Next Generation" cast members. After second City, Brian stayed busy as a writer, and comic character actor. He wrote for both SCTV and Saturday Night Live. Brian has been in movies such as, Modern Problems, Club Paradise, National Lampoons Vacation, Multiplicity, Waiting for Guffman, and Waynes - World.

 

 

John Candy

John was first hired in 1973. John is well over 6 ft tall and big. He appeared in many movies such as, Volunteers, Little Shop of Horrors, Home Alone, Spaceballs, an JFK. He starred in Uncle Buck, Cool Runnings, Summer Rental, Armed and Dangerous, and The Great Outdoors.

Martin Short

Martin Short joined the cast in 1977. He was already an established comedian in
Canada at the time. After Second City, Martin went to SNL. He acted in such movies as Clifford, Three Amigos, Father of the Bride, and  A Simple Wish.

 

 

Bill Murray

Bill joined the Second City in 1973. (The same week as John Candy). After, he went on to SNL with Howard Cosell on ABC. After, he starred/appeared in movies such as Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Tootsie, Little Shop of Horrors, Scrooged, Quick Change, What about Bob?, and Rushmore.

Eugene Levy

Eugene started with Second City in 1974 after he played Jesus in the Broadway play called, "Godspell." Eugene has been in movies such as National Lampoons Vacation, Splash, Father of the Bride, American Pie, Waiting for Guffman, and Club Paradise.

John Belushi

John Belushi went to Wisconsin State his freshmen year then transferred to the College of Dupage near Wheaton, Illinois. John joined Second City in 1971, at the age of 21.After he left, he went to The National Lampoon Radio Hour and SNL. John died of an overdose in 1982 at the age of 32.

 

Gilda Radner

Gilda was a member of the original cast in 1973. From there, she went to SNL where she created characters such as Roseanne Roseanna Dana and Baba Wawa. Then, she went on to do her own show called Gilda Live. She also appeared in movies as, The Rutles, First Family, and Haunted Honeymoon. Gild died of Ovarian Cancer in 1989.

 

 Harold Ramis

Harold had been the "Party Jokes" editor of Playboy magazine before joining the cast in 1969. Even in his early days he was showing his instincts as a writer and a director on the show. His "Hollywood Hit" was co-writer of "Animal." He also directed, wrote, and or acted in Analyze This, Caddy Shack, Metballs, Stripes, and both Ghostbusters.
