"I saw so many horror movies where there was that blonde girl wh wold always get herself killed. I started feeling bad for her. I thought, you know, it's time she had a chance to take back the night," explained Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy, in an interview that was taped for the introduction of Buffy- Season 1 on vhs. 

"So the idea of Buffy came from the very simple thought of a beautiful, blonde girl walks into an alley, a monster attacks, and she's not only ready for him, she trounces him."

The vey scene of the dark alley monster bash intoduced itself in the show opener OF 'bUFFY' IN mARCH OF 1997.

Throghout the season, characters came and went, came and stuck around, and came and went... then came back.. and went again. Angel, Buffy's true and forever love, was one of them that entered, left, and reentered Buffy's life mare than once. The Scooby gang (tetm used for Buffy and her pals) started out with shy girl, Willow, guy friend, Xander, and buffy's faithful Watcher, Giles. 
Others included Cordelia and Wesley who moved to LA to co-star on 'Angel', Anya, an ex-demon who stayed 'till the end, dawn, who was a surprise to all the watching fans.

Although the show ended in season with 7 seasons in it's bag, and a mark on television history, fans still tune into 'Angel' every week and rent the Scooby Doo and American Pie movies . With 7 seasons in the bag and a mark on tv history, the brilliance of Buffy can never be broken.

Sarah Michelle Gellar left the show, soon to be Daphney in the Scooby Doo movies. She married scooby co-star, Freddie Prince, Jr. and now lives with her hubby in Cali with their two dogs.

Alyson Hannigan just finished the third installement of American Pie, American Wedding.

Amber Benson guest starred in the investigation show on CBS, Cold Case. 

JAmes Masters moved to become a major co-star on Angel.
